Welcome to My B&M Kitchen Journey!

We understand building a new kitchen is a big decision and can be daunting for people. So to help take away some of the unknown we are bringing you on a behind the scenes look of the process.

Join us as we follow Helen and David Rule as they go through their B&M Kitchen journey – right from the first consultation to the final product.

Initial Consult

When it was time for Helen and David to design a kitchen for the new home they were building, they approached the team at B&M Joinery.  Knowing they wanted something timeless and “future proof” they booked an initial consultation with our sales rep Leigh to talk through their options and the process.

Leigh introducing the various product options

Leigh has a keen eye for design and extensive product knowledge so the first step he took was to take time understanding Helen and David’s needs.  The next step was to then walk them through the extensive product samples, educating on the different options and costs to help inform their design  decisions.

From there,  they moved on to our gorgeous show kitchen to talk  layout, functionality and hardware – drawers, soft close handles, taps, sinks and appliances.  This then gave Helen and David an overview of how things work together to create the final design.

Our show kitchen is a great space to gain understanding of functionality, layout and design

Of the process Helen said it was “Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.”

“Leigh could tell the things we absolutely definitely wanted to have and how to get the look we wanted.  He gave us some really cool ideas – I went in there thinking what style and basic shape of the kitchen I wanted but Leigh helped us to look at things differently and we have gone home to think it over.”

Armed with information Helen and David are currently thinking about the design.  Once they have this finalised  Leigh will provide pencil elevations to show what it’s going to look like and the materials that will be used.  A quote will then be provided – stay turned to see the next installment!
